The Retreat

Join your hosts, Lauren and Lori, for 3+ days and 3 nights of knitting and hiking at Ghost Ranch near Abiquiu, New Mexico. Our retreat can accommodate approximately 20 knitting hikers (or strolling or landscape gazing knitters). You need not hike to join us. Ghost Ranch, a 21,000 acre education and retreat center in northern New Mexico, is nestled in an extraordinary landscape of multilayered sandstone cliffs, desert hills, and mesas known as Georgia O’Keefe country, where the famous painter lived and painted.

Amy Snell will teach all things brioche at the first session and Ann Weaver will teach visible mending and embellishment on knitted and other fabrics and embroidery for knitted fabric. Optional guided or on your own daily hikes (easy to moderate to challenging) on the Ranch. We also will enjoy relaxed knitting and social time and time to explore the Ranch.

The registration fee for the retreat is all-inclusive for three nights lodging, all meals from lunch on the first day through lunch on the last day, afternoon snacks and beverages, knitting classes, guided hikes, and a swag bag of knitting treasures.
